A selection of the best contemporary brands in the world of textiles invades Rinascente stores throughout Italy. It is the Textile Wave, an event showcasing the proposals of the top brands of home textile furnishings from 17 February to 19 March. In Milan piazza Duomo, Rome via del Tritone, Florence piazza della Repubblica and Turin via Lagrange it will be possible to get carpets, plaids, cushions, textile decorations for the living room and more. An explosion of colours, textures and precious materials declined in different styles, from minimal to figurative, from Nordic to pop.
The growing attention paid to furnishing, styling and personalization of the spaces we live in is nourished by an ever-widening range of decorative proposals. The textile elements are central, small magical touches capable of giving character, color and atmosphere to any environment. Thus carpets become the must-have, cool and indispensable accessory to make a space truly unique. It is combined with colorful cushions, throws, poufs, table runners…
At Rinascente you’ll discover the best brands in the textile universe, walking among immersive installations and colorful settings: from the famous Hay, Moooi, Qeeboo and Missoni to the most niche brands in the sector. In addition to the international proposals, among the Italian brands, CC-Tapis, Spaghetti Rugs and Karpeta stand out, three very different styles, destined to conquer the public of design enthusiasts.
CC-Tapis, available in the stores in Milan Piazza Duomo | Roma via del Tritone, is a brand born in France and designed in Milan. It produces 100% natural, hand-knotted carpets and works with designers and artists, experimenting with new and always natural materials to communicate concepts and ideas.
Spaghetti Rugs, available in Rome via del Tritone | Turin via Lagrange | Milano piazza Duomo, is a brand of illustrated carpets with a 100% Italian taste. The project was born in Bari from the idea of Angelica and Stefania Ianniello, experts in communication and visual arts, who during the months of lockdown fell I love with the art of tufting, ad start to create carpets to decorate their homes. They are inspired by the world of art, cinema and contemporary culture, reinterpreting their messages in a colourful, ironic and visionary style. They collaborate with international artists and create personalized carpets for creative environments.
Karpeta, available in Milan Piazza Duomo | Rome via del Tritone | Turin via Lagrange Florence piazza della Repubblica, was born in 2006 from an idea of Daniele Morabito who, having left Reggio Calabria with a pioneering spirit and inspired by his collector father, developed an interest in the cult of the object capable of telling a story. Hence, the drive to create carpets that maintain the ancient handwork and speak a current language, creating a bridge between tradition and modernity. Karpeta carpets are made entirely by hand according to the most ancient weaving techniques. Each product is the result of craftsmanship, from knotting to manual tufting.
